Stories of the Ancestors: Honoring the Motherline
This is an evening of stories, poetry, dialog, and ritual to celebrate our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and women who have impacted our lives. This is an evening for the mother-line in this realm and the other realm.
Please bring a photograph or your mother, grandmother, or someone special to place upon the ancestral shrine. Bring altar objects, candle with plate holder, and a bowl for flowers or water. Bring poetry that relates the sacred feminine and the
mother line. This is a healing time for any truth that can come out in relationship to the inspiration or challenges of the mother-line. It is a time to break old familial patterns and to address the connection and disconnection to the sacred
feminine. It is an opportunity to be the conduit and bridge to heal the generations of the past and to assist the generations to come. When we dialog with the other world and heal our relationships in that realm, the healing penetrates our world,
creating magic and transformation.
Please join Rowena Pantaleon to celebrate Mother’s Day in a new way. Rowena is a BodyWork Therapist, Healer, Diviner and Workshop facilitator. She has been involved in creating women’s healing and community for many years. She leads women’s
groups, vision quests, and assist and co-facilitate workshops with Malidoma Some’, a tribal medicine man of the Dagara tribe in West Africa. Her commitment to healing and following her dream led her to an initiation in the Dagara tribe and is active
in creating a bridge between the indigenous and the western soul. The two focus of her work now is to recover the connection with our ancestral roots and to bring about healing in our communities and the world at large as well as mentoring clients in
disengaging from their super-ego.
